Whichever of those words you prefer, that's what I did to this box that originally contained a candle. The box had a house shape that I was instantly drawn to.
I decided to create a keepsake box with a bird theme. Here are the other sides.
I used Catherine Moore's beautiful papers from Character Constructions as the base for each side of the box, then added paint, ink and embellishments. That's an actual dried strawberry on one side of the roof. The little bird's nest is recycled too. I crumpled up the wire wrapping from a wine bottle to form it.
Now for the inside, I created a false bottom that can be pulled up to hide a trinket or secret note underneath. Then on top of the false bottom, I placed a bird's nest with 2 eggs.
