Sunday Postcard Art — Dance

It's time to dance at Sunday Postcard Art! Deciding to go digital with my postcard art this week, I chose one of the flower girls from stepdaughter Maggie's wedding as my subject. I worked in Photoshop CS4, using a combination of the artistic and brush strokes filters.

Sunday Postcard Art — Mothers

I'm a day late with this one, but I did not want to miss this theme on Sunday Postcard Art. The beautiful woman and girl in the photo are my husband's grandmother and great grandmother. The photo frame and moth are from the Auntie Em collection at Deviant Scrap. I placed some pieces from my collection of ephemera on the scanner and used that image in the bottom corner.

Sunday Postcard Art — White

At this time of year, the word white brings dogwood blossoms to my mind. Our street turns into a fairy land of white for a couple of weeks. It's glorious!

Taking the postcard challenge a little literally this week, I painted with fluid acrylics right on top of a vintage postcard, well a reproduction of one anyway.

Sunday Postcard Challenge — Witch

I am so glad I found this challenge. I love the proportions of a postcard, and it's such a fun and relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon. So here she is — my little witch.

(Background is done with Adirondack alcohol inks, rubber stamping and rub-ons, tree is painted by me, images are from my private collection.)
