We all need a shot of inspiration every now and then, don't we? I have been feeling pretty "blah" about art for a while, but yesterday a visit to Tim Holtz's blog inspired me to make a couple of Christmas cards. I had purchased his new masks a month or two ago, but they've been sitting in my studio. Actually, they've been sitting on the floor of the studio. When I saw his Day 10 tag, I picked them up off the floor, opened them for the first time, and went to work.
I used his mask with Perfect Pearls technique for the background. Here's another card, this one was pretty simple and quick.
The angel is a cardboard dyecut. I embossed it with black as Tim did his reindeer on Day 10, then I painted it with blue Perfect Pearls following his technique. Before the Perfect Pearls dry, wipe it off so the embossing shows through.
